My pet portraits and pet
paintings make a perfect gift. They will
be a precious memory for those who have lost a loved pet
or those who just want a keepsake picture of their favourite
dog, cat, rabbit or horse. I have been painting pets for
about 15 years and do my utmost to provide a good likeness and make
the picture come alive.
Generally I do not paint a background as I feel it can detract from the image of the pet- my pictures are clean & uncluttered, and as there is no background colour, they will not clash with the colour scheme of the room they are displayed in! I use watercolours
because they
seem to bring animal pictures and portraits to life.
Watercolour pictures of pets will not fade if kept in a
glass frame and out of direct sunlight.
